Our teachers are experts in classical, jazz, blues and popular music.
As professional musicians and experienced educators, we know that inspiring students and nurturing a passion for music is integral to ensuring that our students fulfill their potential.Â
Our music lessons are for everyone. We tailor our lessons according to our students interests and goals. Our current students range in age from 6 years to 75 years.
We believe in the fundamentals of music theory, chord structure and technique but we teach these fundamentals in a way that keeps our students motivated.Â
We offer on-demand video tutorials which can be used for independent learning or to supplement your tailored lessons.
All teachers at The Music Institute are garda vetted, experienced musicians and educators and are required to hold a relevant music degree from an accredited university.Â
We have lessons suitable to all levels and regularly tutor 3rd level music students as well as professional musicians wishing to enhance their core knowledge and skill set.
We are skilled and experienced at preparing students for examinations including the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM), Associated Boards of The Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and RockSchool (RSM).
We also offer junior and leaving certificate preparation in music. We tailor state examination preparation to your needs and we regularly tutor students in both performance and theory preparation. We also offer music as an external subject for students who are not taking music in school, but would like to take music for their junior or leaving certificate examination.
